Description
Make your endangered species lesson interactive with these fantastic primate masks! This activity enables students to better identify with endangered animals, inspiring them to reflect on what challenges these animals face and what we can do to help. Students can choose from the lemur, monkey, and tamarin mask templates. Instructions are included for how teachers or parents can implement this activity at school or home.
Endangered Primates Unit
This mask activity can be used on its own, but is also part of our Common Core aligned Endangered Primates Unit. The unit explores what it means for an animal or plant to be "endangered" and "extinct"–but also, it helps teach students what they can do to help as a part of our interconnected world. The activities focus on three critically endangered primates: the Silky Sifaka Lemur of Madagascar, the Roloway Monkey of Ghana, and the Cotton-Top Tamarin of Colombia.
