Product Description
Showing movies to accompany literary units is a great way to reward students and also to show them that text doesn’t have to be written. There is a richness in film that students should be aware of. Ender's Game, directed by Gavin Hood and based on Orson Scott Card's novel by the same name, is an amazing film to use in the classroom. This Video Viewing Guide keeps students paying attention and also helps them to do some critical analysis of the film as they would do in a text. The guide includes both simple observation/recall type questions as well as questions that require more critical thinking. Questions are in chronological order so that students can answer as they watch the action. Close reading questions are in italics and require more student thought and insight into characters and events. Students will generally need more time to answer these types of questions. The guide contains a total of 40 questions. An answer key is included.
