This is a great resource for teaching ending digraphs! This simple game can be played during small group teaching, in a workstation, or with an instructional assistant.
Students must correctly read the word on the card in order to keep it. Watch out for the Pig card! If a student gets a Pig, they will lose all of their cards!
Students will have fun while practicing ch, sh, th, and tch digraphs.
This game includes 90 cards and can be played for 5-15 minutes. It can be used for a warm-up or for skill practice. It is easily differentiated. You can adjust how many cards are given to each student in order to make each round easier or harder.
I recommend also downloading the FREE Game Card Organizing Designs from Reynolds Reading Resources. Choose a card design to print on the back of your Pig game before you cut them up. This will make them like real game cards and prevent students from seeing when the Pig card is coming!
