As a culminating project for the semester, students are asked to find songs that relate to the standards covered over the semester. Students use higher order thinking skills to make the connections and write a response that includes their connections, the standard and song lyrics. It is designed for the Georgia World Geography standards, but could be adapted for any curriculum.
Also included is a basic point based rubric, that can be used to grade the project. In the past, this project has been an independent project with approximately a month to work on it outside of class. If it was done in class, it could vary based the standards and grade level.
