Product Description
Students will begin this inquiry-based, introductory exploration by analyzing three sets of images (golfing, roller coasters, and weightlifting), and considering which image represents the greatest amount of energy. Students will then conduct an experiment in which they release a marble down an inclined plane and measure the distance traveled. Students will then consider ways to alter the experiment so that a greater distance is traveled, such as increasing the slope of the ramp or using a heavier marble.
