About this product
This product consists of three lessons:
1. Food Chains and Food Webs
2. Pyramids of Numbers and Pyramids of Biomass
3. Transfer of Energy

The lessons are designed to develop students’ understanding of interdependence.
The first lesson focus on constructing food chains and using food chains to construct food webs through interactive activities. The second lesson follows through with counting organisms at each trophic level to represent food chains as pyramids of numbers and then as pyramids of biomass. Finally in the third lesson students see the relevance of the feeding relationships by focusing on energy flow.

I created these lessons a while back, and the students really enjoyed the activities. The teacher demo in lesson three really helped the students to comprehend the idea of energy flow.
