This is a followup to my best-selling energy resources game: Energy Masters.
Now, behold Energy Masters 2: THE GRID. Just by playing, students will learn the advantages and disadvantages of 9 common energy resources (coal, petroleum, natural gas, nuclear, wind, solar, geothermal, hydroelectric, and biomass).
In this game, students build their own electric grid by placing energy resources cards on their gameboard. They must choose carefully based on the Energy Produced, Cost, and Pollution Produced by each resource. Not only that, but they must keep an eye on the weather conditions to see how wind and solar power are affected. Also, during gameplay, developments in technology, laws, and the environment will affect their energy resources. This is a very strategic game, but its super easy to learn. Included is an AUDIO WALK-THRU you can play for the students that will guide them through the first few turns.
You set the level of difficulty of the game by determining the Cost, Energy, and Pollution goals that they must meet to win. See the preview for the game board, examples of cards, and a general gameplay description.
All files included in the ZIP folder are PDFs, along with an MP3 of the walk-thru instructions.
