In this guided activity, students will learn some basic concepts of electrical energy by exploring differences in energy production, cost of energy, units of energy, advantages and disadvantages of energy production, energy at home, and energy globally. Students will practice making and analyzing different types of graphs to answer questions. They will be doing unit conversions, calculating kilowatt hours, and practicing using the percent change equation. At the end of this lesson students will have a better understanding of their own use of energy, where their energy comes from, and global energy trends.
