In this activity, students learn about how Earth’s surface is heated due to the sun’s energy and perform 3 different experiments to see how different factors affect the heating of Earth’s surface.

Each experiment takes about 45 minutes to complete. You can have students do each activity, have groups of students take on different activities and share results with the included Group Results Chart.
