It's not only a competitive, challenging card game...the cards can be used in many different activities to amp up the rigor of your classroom. We have a 5th grade U.S. History (Freck! JR), 5th grade US History Bilingual Version (Freck! en historia), 8th grade US History (Freck! Early US) 11th grade US History (Freck! EOC) and 7th grade Texas History (Freck! Texas...coming out this October).
The Freck (8th grade US History) version has over 500 cards. Students compete to win the clue cards(each one is worth an amount of moola)...but wait along the way there are trap(team play) cards, lose a turn cards, block cards, and rescue cards that your opponents will try to play on your to take your money (clue cards).
The clue cards include content cards, along with "Who said it" card and image cards to diversify the gameplay.
The Freck Jr. (5th grade US History) version has over 400 cards with easier clues to engage the younger students in the exact same gameplay format, and grade level content that supports the 8th grade curriculum.
The content in the cards aligns to the Social Studies Standards and the specific grade level TEKS.
