Teacher candidates and new teachers often struggle with engaging students from start of the lesson to the end of the lesson.
This is a workshop for teacher candidates, new teachers, and the veteran teachers who are still green and growing to learn about strategies to help them plan effective lessons to engage, challenge, and motivate students.
The workshop can be carried out as one whole-day session or two half-day sessions allowing the teachers to put into practice ideas introduced here. It may also be part of on-going faculty professional development sessions incorporated into departmental meetings.
The package consists of a 20-slide PowerPoint presentation with 6 activities for teachers to work on with their colleagues or independently, and 8 pages of handouts (activity booklet).
