We believe in a student centered classroom. Our goal is to create a community of learners by meeting the needs of each individual student. We accomplish this by making every effort to incorporate topics and activities that are relevant to their lives. We are true believers of alternative assessments, so that every student will be given the opportunity to be successful at their own pace. In this packet you will find activities that have been proven successful in our own classrooms. All activities can be modified or adapted to meet the needs of your class.
In creating this packet our goal was to share some of the practices that helped us when “the batteries died”. What does that mean? We all love technology, but sometimes it does not cooperate. Many of these activities are ideas, which can be used spontaneously, requiring little or no preparation.
