This silly, fun activity was great to use at the end of the year or my engineering unit! Students will still see the same engineering steps but the topic of discussion and problem is more kid-based: How can you keep as many toppings on your ice-cream without ANY falling off?
FUN, right?! The two sheets that I printed back to back to save paper instruct students and teacher on what to do first to last. I have tried it out with my students and it was a hit! Just make sure you do not take the ice-cream out of the freezer until just before you begin.
