In this active exercise students learn grammar and move at the same time. A word is shown and the students have to decide whether it is used with „a“ or „an“. If it is „a“ they take a seat on their chair. If it is „an“ they have to stand up. The word „rubber“ is an example and the right article is shown. With later words only the icon for standing up or sitting down is shown.
You can use this material for a quick game. Students can either play as a team or individually. For every right answer they earn a point. Whoever has the highest amount of points at the end of the game wins. Alternatively, you can give as many points as students are there with the wrong answer. So students who do not look what classmates do, might get higher scores.
