This is a worksheet that I use for various units of study in English class.
It helps students explore what makes a HERO vs a VILLAIN, and the qualities that define them.
They can either pick one from pop culture, to explore this worksheet, or one from a Short Story or novel study being studied.
The second sheet with just the words "HERO" and "VILLAIN" is what I use for brainstorming...I usually photocopy this as the front page (or you could just write it on the board, really)...We brainstorm famous examples of both these types of characters, to get the discussion going...I also like putting some directly on the line (characters who are on the edge of both)
NOTE - The one villain criteria involves some mature content - drugs, drinking, sleeping around. Just as a heads up if you're doing it with a sensitive group!
