This writing experience focuses on the academic language of Science for our English Learners. With this writing experience comes crucial linguistic, graphic, and interactive support through a rigorous writing experience. Additionally, like in “English Learner Writing Experience #3” there are proficiency descriptors and expectations. These allow you as the teacher to have an idea as to what students will produce at each of the different proficiency levels. This writing experience pays special attention to sequence vocabulary as well as content area vocabulary, a valuable writing tool for English Learners to explore and master.
