This is a reading-log exclusively for short stories. This helps students not only to keep a record of what they have read but also to summarize what they have understood from their reading and encourages them to evaluate the story in terms of what they consider good and weak points of the story. This can be either given as a class activity in the first 15-20 minutes of the lesson or as homework with a specific time deadline. This will also assist teachers in assessing how many stories students have read over a period of time and how strong they are in their reading, writing and critical thinking skills.
