This is a really helpful worksheet for students to summarize each scene of the story. I usually give it out at the END of the first act, and then we update it everyday from then on out.
It asks them to do a Twitter-like summary of each scene.
They summarize the important scenes in 30 words or less, then they create a hashtag for that scene...this always gets us laughing!!
(the hashtags act as a memory aid without them knowing it. I ask them to write them on cards and I post them up as we continue.)
At the end of the play, they have a beautiful study guide for their exam.
It's also a great skill to learn - summarizing lots of information.
TIP - I photocopy this page onto coloured paper so it's easier for them to find time come exam time or at the end of a unit for a test
