This is the movie viewing sheet that I give my grade 9's when they first learn about the "Elements of Short Stories" - specifically the plot diagram, types of conflict, and theme.
It's a basic handout but it works really well to help them "get" these ideas - which are so important in later novel studies.
NOTE - I make them draw in their own plot graph as a review, that's why it's not on the second page. I've also done this handout where they have to fill out the plot diagram at the END, and mix up the typical "mountain" layout to make it FIT this story (ex. more than one climax peak, etc.)
