This is a worksheet that I give to spark a class discussion about GENDER ROLES in "To Kill A Mockingbird".
Scout obviously bends these gender roles, which makes her aunt so frustrated...and this is why so many students love Scout :) She doesn't care.
This worksheet really does get students talking.
-It starts with ad's and what they're showing about make/female gender expectations
-it relates it to TKAM
-it asks guiding questions about "should girls wear pink?" etc (this always turns into a mini debate amongst the class, which is fantastic)
-it gives an article that a teen wrote about gender roles
