Educational consultancy RyJoLC has recently developed a new range of resources, which introduce and illustrate various parts of English language through songwriting.

This is a new, engaging and captivating way to teach the English language, so as for students to not simply learn about various devices through analysis of other texts, but rather to engage with these and learn their function firsthand. The first of these resources, available for free here, uses the structure of a song to introduce the key areas of thesis statement, coherency and audience recognition.

Further resources focus on a variety of devices, from basic areas such as imagery and symbolism to more advanced topics, including different forms of repetition such as conduplicatio and epizeuxis.
