English/Spanish Cognate Alphabet - Posters and Flashcards - Black/White & Color

This Spanish/English cognate alphabet is a great tool to help ELL/ESL students learn English alphabet sounds! Shows English alphabet letters (upper and lowercase) with picture examples and English/Spanish words. Comes in four versions - full color 8.5x11 posters, black and while 8.5x11 posters, 4 on a page full color flashcards, and 4 on a page black and white flashcards.

PLEASE NOTE! This is an English alphabet with English sounds - doesn't contain Spanish specific letters or initial letter sounds. Some sounds don't coordinate between English and Spanish, so I went with the closest option (h, j, u.) On k and q, I included Spanish examples that have the same initial sounds but different spellings. The X example is taxi, since I couldn't find a closer coordinating word. With the exception of u, all vowels are short. Hard consonant examples are used.
