This is a project that will challenge your students to apply multiplication to enlarge an object of their choice ten times. After presenting the challenge to your students, they will choose an object that they feel comfortable replicating to the enlarged dimensions. They will need to measure the dimensions of the original object, calculate the measurements of the enlarged object, gather supplies, and construct the enlarged object. They will also put together a portfolio including various aspects of the project. This is a fun math activity that gives students the opportunity to be creative while applying math skills.
