This Enlightenment thinkers resource features an amazing PowerPoint on the Enlightenment filled with Harry Potter-style "magical portraits" that move, blink, smile, blow kisses, and yawn! Your students will be dazzled by a topic that can be a struggle to make interesting.
All essential standards for the Age of Enlightenment are included alongside the moving portraits of six philosophers:
A guided outline notes worksheet is included along with a graphic organizer option as well that students can use to follow along with the lesson.
There is also a fully-narrated "flipped classroom" video version of the presentation included! This video explains all of the key concepts in the lesson and is perfect for flipping your class, showing in class, sharing with absent students who missed your lesson, or just watching yourself to prepare.
A Google Slides version of the presentation is included as well for use with Google Classroom. Note, however, that the embedded videos will not play in Google Slides and they are replaced with just images. All of the videos are included in the download if you do want to implement them into any other activity you might use such as games, review PowerPoint, etc.
This is activity will actively engage your visual learners and have all your students eyes' glued to your presentation!
