Enlightenment Thinkers in Their Own Words Station Activity
In small groups of four, students go to five different stations around the room analyzing primary sources from famous Enlightenment philosophes. They then answer a series of critical thinking questions (15 in all). After all five stations have been visited, a class discussion of the major ideas takes place. This activity is the perfect way to introduce students to the ideas of the Enlightenment.
