Description

This Age of Enlightenment activity is a fantastic way to cover many of the important Writers, Composers, Artists, & Scientists of this era in your World History classroom.

Included in this lesson is a graphic organizer to help your students categorize the different people based off their accomplishments and 11 short biographies of various Age of Enlightenment figures based off of Common Core & state standards (Beethoven, Eugene Delaroix, Miguel Cervantes, etc).

Each biography is simple to read and understand and highlights their accomplishments in an engaging style. Portraits are included for each figure to help your students picture these famous figures.

After reading each biography, students must place that person in the correct location on the graphic organizer and describe briefly his accomplishments. This helps students to categorize information and determine main ideas.

An editable Google Doc version of the resource and complete answer key are both included for your convenience!

This makes for a great lesson plan after using my Age of Enlightenment Book!

You can also download these activities as part of my Complete Absolute Monarchs and Enlightenment Unit Bundle!
