The concept behind this product is that every year it seems as if my students score lowest in the area of determining the meaning of unfamiliar words (context clues and word origins).
In order to combat against this I chose the top reoccurring roots and prefixes used them create "RPS Lists" (Root, Prefix, Suffix)
I then took those words and plugged them into high interest non fiction articles and added context clues into those articles.
Finally, I turned those words into fill in the blank quizzes.
Every Monday my students get a new "RPS List" of 5 words and definitions.
Every Wednesday our students read an article with those words and use context clues to match the words to the definitions
Every Friday my students take an "RPS Quiz" on the word list of the week.
I have used different versions of this product before and now have a complete set of Low, Medium, and High to use for differentiation. This is the lowest version.
In this listing there are 18 sets of RPS Lists, Articles, Quizzes, and a definition key and 6 end of unit quizzes.
