Entrepreneurship- Internet Entrepreneurs- Internet Activity
This activity consists of students researching 10 Internet entrepreneurs- people who either founded or co-founded a successful online business. For each entrepreneur, students must record at least 10 facts/notes. The document consists of detailed directions and then space for students to record the notes for each entrepreneur. It is formatted nicely with a picture of each entrepreneur and plenty of room for students to record their notes. Entrepreneurs consist of: Jeff Bezos- Amazon.com, Pierre Omidyar- Ebay, Craig Newmark- Craigslist, Reed Hastings- co-founder of Netflix, Patrick Byrne- Overstock.com, Reid Hoffman- co-founder of LinkedIn, Jack Dorsey- Twitter, Jimmy Wales- co-founder of Wikipedia, Mark Zuckerberg- co-founder of Facebook, and Kevin Systrom- co-founder of Instagram. You can add/delete entrepreneurs to your liking. This is a great activity for students to learn about who is behind the online sites they use. Depending on your students it should take about a period and a half or so to complete unless it is assigned as an out of class assignment.
