PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is my favorite unit to teach! It is inspired by the art of Andy Goldsworthy. I have my class first watch parts of the documentary about Goldsworthy called Rivers and Tides. Then I tell them they will be going to the beach to create works of art as a group. Due to the ephemeral nature of environmental art, each group is given a video camera to make a documentary of the process. Back at school we edit the video into a documentary film complete with original music made in Garageband. I have used Final Cut and iMovie for this project. Still photos could be used too and put into a slide show.
