This is a set of 24 cards that promise to raise the level of student engagement. I prepared a few sets of cards by printing and laminating them on colored paper. Students get rid of the monster that ate the Numerator or Denominator! Quiz, Quiz, Trade is a WINNER!
There are two different sets:
Set 1: Number 1-6 (Equal fractions - multiplying) with answers
Set 2: Numbered 7-12 (Equal fractions – dividing) with answers
Just print the cards double sided (questions on one side and answers on the other).
Students make equivalent fractions by multiplying (set 1-6) and dividing (set 7-12).
How to Play:
Pass out cards, one to each student. When you say "quiz, quiz, trade", they put a hand up, look for a partner, high 5, and then quiz each other using their card. After both have answered their partner's question (giving their partner help if needed and praising their partner for the correct answer) they trade cards, put a hand up, and find another partner. A timer tool with time prompts can be used to set the pace for the activity.
This game is useful to revise topics without re-teaching. It also proved itself to support students with fast fact recalling and number sense. Truly a WINNER!
