Equal Sign, True or False, Equations
Do your students need more practice with equal signs, True or False, Equations? This is a common core aligned product that can help you teach your students.
Understand the meaning of the equal sign, and determine if equations involving addition and subtraction are true or false. For example, which of the following equations are true and which are false? 6 = 6, 7 = 8 - 1, 5 + 2 = 2 + 5, 4 + 1 = 5 + 2.

What can you do with this product?
1. Use these as worksheets for practice, remediation, or assessments. (18 pages)
2. Copy, cut into cards on cardstock, laminate. Hold up cards and have children raise the TRUE OR FALSE sign to check for understanding. (Copy page 4 and 5 back to back before cardstock and lamination). Then cut in half to make signs.
Place only 1 TRUE sign in a pocket chart and only one FALSE sign in a pocket chart. Pass out cards, or hide around the room and have children sort them one at a time on the correct place in the chart. (144 cards if cut apart to choose from to differentiate!)
3. Board Game: Place 20 cards in a random pattern on the table or floor. Give each child a place marker (teddy bear, plastic cube, plastic bug from dollar store). Child 1 rolls die and moves forward that many places. Child tells whether or not it is true or false. If he/she gets the answer right, they may stay. If not, they must move back to the original space they started. (Page 5 are the cards to go with this game.) (144 Cards to choose from to differentiate for the board game)
