Equation BINGO is an excellent activity to use in Algebra 1, Geometry or Algebra 2 to review Equations. Equation types include 2 step simple equations, equations using distributive property, combining like terms & equations with variables both sides.
Equation BINGO would also be a great activity to place in your substitute folder.
This activity simulates BINGO, but instead of drawing random numbers, equations are drawn out under each letter. Students will work equations, then look for the correct solutions under the matching letter. Just as in BINGO, some of the solutions may not be on student gameboards.
In the activity, there are 40 total equations that can be drawn out. Student gameboards only contain 25 solutions.
Students win the game once they have 5 correct solutions in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally) If desired, teachers can change the rules by specifying that students must have 2 lines, 3 lines or at the end of the designated class time, the student with the most covered answers.
Equation cards, student gameboards may be laminated for reuse in future classes.
