Product Description
Group your students into groups of three.

Hand out baggies with the Equation Model Match pieces and have the students split them into the types of pieces: equation, model, answer. Student A takes the equation pieces, Student B takes the model pieces, and Student C takes the answer pieces.

Have the students play Rock Paper Scissors to see who lays down a card first. Let's say that Student B wins. Then Student B lays down one of their model pieces and Students A and C must find their pieces that match.

Once all pieces have been played, have the students start over, but this time they must be holding a stack that they have not held before. So for example, Student B cannot be holding the model pieces.

Have them play a total of three times so that each student gets practice with all three items: the equation, the model, and the answer.
