Equation of Tangent to Circle (Question Grid/Naughts and Crosses)
Question grids can be played as a competitive game known as ‘naughts and crosses’. Pupils answer on their sticky-notes or in their color, claiming the square by answering correctly. The first pupil to answer three questions in a row (correctly) is the winner. See our blog post here about similar ideas here
. Otherwise it can be used as a worksheet.
This question grid has two levels available; the first level each circle has a center of (0, 0) and level 2 is more challenging with different circle centers and pupils need to find the tangent to the circle at a given point.
Pupils will choose which level to work out and they select a square and answer that question.
Each level comes complete with worked solutions and also mixed solutions. The mixed solutions can be given or displayed so that students can check their answer is present, if not they need to go back and check!
