PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Equations and Multiple Representations Center Activity (Adding & Subtracting)

Are you trying to find ideas for centers? Do you need more center activities while you do guided math? Here is a great activity you can use! Students will be given an addition or subtraction equation and asked to represent that equation with a strip diagram, base 10 blocks, decomposing numbers, traditional algorithm, number line, and a problem situation. I have a teacher example with an equation already modeled for the students to see, and I also have some blank forms also in which the students may create their own equations. This would be perfect to blow up as a poster, laminate, and have students write on with dry erase markers.

More center activities to come later!
