Product Description

Included in this zip folder are 14 Power Point files. 3 file are for instruction and 11 files are assignments. A brief description of each:

Intro file #1 is a 40 slide presentation that introduces graphing a circle as inputs and outputs with a table of values. The shape of the graph is revealed through graphing.

Intro file #2 is a 29 slide presentation. The emphasis is using the distance formula, briefly, before relating it to the equation of a circle.

Intro file #3 is 24 slide file that uses completing the square to convert a circle in general form to standard form.

Assignment file A is an assignment that utilizes a protractor to draw a circle of radius 5 to identify the 12 lattice points it intercepts. Graph paper is provided. Each problem is on 1 page for easy printing and there are 3 problems.

Assignment file B is a 4 problem assignment. The student is given 4 equations in standard form and asked to graph via a table of values. Once the circle is graphed, the student is asked to find:

1. The radius

2. The diameter

3. The circumference

4. The area

5. The domain

6. The range

It is on 2 pages for easy printing

Assignment file B1 is is like file B.

Assignment file C is a 24 question multiple choice assignment. The emphasis is matching inputs and outputs for circles on graphs. It is on 1 page for easy printing.

Assignment file D is a 24 question multiple choice assignment. The emphasis is converting general form to standard form and vice versa. It is on 1 page for easy printing.

Assignment file #1 is a 24 question multiple choice assignment. The emphasis is using the distance formula to find the radius/diameter of a circle and writing an equation of a circle in standard form. It is on 1 page for easy printing.

Assignment file #2 is a 24 question multiple choice assignment. The emphasis is recognizing the center, radius and diameter of a circle given an equation in standard form. The student must also write an equation in standard form given information like the radius, diameter and center. This assignment is on 1 page for easy printing.

Assignment file #3 is a 24 question multiple choice assignment. The emphasis is converting circle equations from standard form to general conic form and vice versa. The student must also write an equation in both forms given information like the radius, diameter and center. This assignment is on 1 page for easy printing.

Assignment file #4 is a 4 problem 1 page printable for converting equations from 1 form to another.

Assignment file #5 is a 3 problem 1 page printable for converting equations from 1 form to another. The student also asked to identify:

1. The coordinates of the center

2. The radius

3. The circumference

4. The diameter

Assignment file #6 is like #5
