Variables on both Sides Equations LOT GAME
Solving practice in an engaging game format with an emphasis on special case equations (no solution, identity / all real numbers), this Lot Game’s name simply doesn’t do it justice. Students both compete and collaborate through this quick-prep game involving both strategy and chance.
Half of the equations in this game are special cases (10 identities & 8 equations with no solution).
Two levels of equations are included to meet the needs of your students. A complete game will have students solving 36 equations.
Rolling dice, flipping cards, solving equations, and keeping score – find detailed game play directions in this resource on both the teacher and student papers. My students ask if we can play this game again weeks later. (I have used with both middle and low level students. While both benefited, it worked best with my middle level students.)

Need Equations with Variables on Both Sides practice WITHOUT special cases?
Sometimes I do too. Math Giraffe’s Conquest Game
is a thorough practice of one solution equations that I’ve also used in my classroom.
All feedback is valued and encourages improved products. Did you know buyers also have access to future revisions?
