Please enjoy this CCSS aligned Equivalent Fractions Forest Frenzy Poke Game. My students love the self checking poke game. I have a bunch of these set up for student use at centers time. I have created a CCSS aligned Equivalent Fractions Poke game that is differentiated. The lowest set has 6 pictorial as well as numerical representations of fractions moving up to the high group with no pictorial representations. I have used this to play a game in my class where my low group can actually compete against the high group and no one knows the difference.
This set includes, three sets of 12 cards, differentiated from low to high learners. I have also included teacher instructions for setting up the game, and a “show your work” to prove that the fractions are equivalent with student instructions on it. I have provided a color copy of the work page as well as printer friendly version.
A few ways that I use Poke Cards in my classroom:
• Put class in three groups and have students do a relay to get through all 12 cards
• Independent practice at a math station
• Partner game for review
• Allow students to check out the game and take home to practice automatic answers.
In this preview I am offering a FREEBIE. You get the Really Trying Raccoons – Low Level Learners set free. When you purchase this product you are purchasing the other two sets, as well as the instructions, and prove it work sheets.
These cards are aligned to the CCSS standards:
4.NF.1 and 3.NF.3a-b.
