Use this map to present equivalent fractions to students, walking them through the uses for this concept. Once the lesson is finished, student can use the handout as a reference! Students will walk away from the lesson with the true understanding that simplifying to lowest terms and finding common denominators are not unrelated concepts, but are just two ways that equivalent fractions are useful!
