Description

Fractions are an incredibly abstract concept, and students need lots of concrete experiences to help them build mental pictures of fraction numbers. A variety of manipulatives should be used, and this resource focuses on the use of fraction tiles to solve equivalent fractions puzzles.

Note: For the print version, fraction tiles should be provided to students. If you don't have fraction tiles, use this link to download a PDF with printable fraction tiles. The digital version has movable fraction tile pieces.

Set includes:

  • 24 equivalent fraction task cards with missing digits designed to be used with fraction tiles
  • Separate interactive Google Slides file with slides for each of the task cards and movable fraction tile pieces

Includes both downloadable print versions of the task cards as well as a digital version with movable fraction tiles for use with Google Classroom™!
