Looking for a fun, easy and engaging activity to allow your students to practice analyzing equivalent fractions. George Washington can't tell a lie and neither will your students, with this product allows students the opportunity to compare two fractions with different numerators and different denominators, e.g., by creating common denominators or numerators, or by comparing to a benchmark fraction such as 1/2. Recognize that comparisons are valid only when the two fractions refer to the same whole. They will look at fractions comparison cards and decide whether they are true or false. They then will record the results of comparisons with symbols >, =, or <. You can use this product in a math center, with the whole class, with partners, during math intervention.
