Students will act like detectives as they use fraction circles, strips, and bars to explore equivalent fractions! Fun, detective themed activity that can be completed independently, with partners, or in small groups. Students can even use online interactive math manipulatives to complete the activities as well!
Check out the preview for my description and a peak at the activity sheets :)
I use the following websites in my 3rd grade classroom to assist students with the activities. These are just two examples of virtual manipulatives that can be used.

My students really enjoyed completing these activities using online manipulatives. I had them try these activities before I taught equivalent fractions in depth; this gave them some background knowledge and helped engage them in later learning :)
