This is an introductory lesson on making equivalent fractions. It is more intended for learners who experience challenges grasping the concept from classroom lessons alone. The pace is slow with several pages of practice of the same concept. Subsequent lessons build on this by taking the concept to a slightly higher level. The goal is for the student to achieve mastery of the concept through this and conversations with teachers, parents, and their peers. Journaling about how they feel and understand the concept can be helpful too. I always aim to integrate other areas of math whenever possible, just to keep their minds aware of how math concepts are always connected. I always appreciate feedback from peers.
