This is an equivalent fractions slide show and graded assignment.
It's a .pdf file intended to be used as a slide showa, and it will help your kids understand the common core objective: CCSS.Math.4.NF.A.1 Explain why a fraction a/b is equivalent to a fraction (n × a)/(n × b) by using visual fraction models, with attention to how the number and size of the parts differ even though the two fractions themselves are the same size. Use this principle to recognize and generate equivalent fractions.

I designed this for my 4th graders, but if you have 5th graders that need a review, this may be good for them too.
This slide show includes 24 fun and colorful slides that takes the kids through a visual of comparing fractions, as well as helping them understand the rule "whatever you do to the top, you do to the bottom", as in using multiplication and division to help find an equivalent fraction.
The slides pose ideas for class discussion, as well as opportunities for kids to solve problems and offer answers.
The last slide is set up as a graded assignment where you can either print it or project it.
Please see the preview picture above for a more detailed image.
Feel free to use it in your classroom however you would like.
