Use this as a station activity or for intervention/ tutorials.
Print, laminate and cut out. The bottom piece, cut out the whole square. I cut out the actual cupcake shapes so the stack better. (like the picture on the side.) Allow students to work together to stack the cupcakes creating a cupcake stacked full of equivalent fractions. Remind students that whatever you do to the numerator you must do to the denominator.
This set also includes an exit ticket with an answer key for use after stations.
