These task cards come in two differentiated sets. The first set, which is slightly less challenging, asks students to color in two fraction pictures and then circle a fraction that is equivalent to the given fraction. Students can use the two pictures to help them. The second set, which is slightly more challenging, asks students to complete the same problems, but using one fraction picture which they must break into equal parts on their own. There are 27 task cards in each set.
There are several ways to use these cards. You may choose to fold them in half and laminate them for reuse by students. Students can check their own work if the answer is provided on the back.
You may choose to play scoot with these cards or hand them out as a packet without the answer cards. The choice is up to you depending on your students’ needs!
