This is an activity where students work in groups to make a hop scotch board. They use fraction cards from 0 to 1 to make their hop scotch board. They put equivalent fractions side by side on the board.
Teacher Directions for Equivalent Fractions Hop Scotch:
1. Copy and laminate the hop scotch pages. There are 5 different sets of equivalent fraction hop scotch included.
2. Divide students into 5 groups. (Group 1 Hop Scotch is the easiest and Group 5 Hop Scotch is the most difficult.)
3. Students will work in their groups to place their hop scotch pieces in order from 0 to 1. They will place equivalent fractions side by side to complete their hop scotch pattern.
