"I have...Who has...?" is a fun whole class game that kids love to play. It is also perfect for differentiation and cooperative learning. It can be used as practice after the concept of equivalent fractions has been introduced or as a review activity. It is easy to differentiate by selecting which cards to give to which students. The first few times we do the activity, I encourage the kids to share strategies they used to know when it was their turn.
I like to repeat the activity several days in a row, challenging students to beat their time from the previous day. My kids beg to play this game!
I have included a response sheet so that this may be used as a center activity. The student simply places the cards in the correct order and records them on the sheet. This could be done independently or with a partner.
