This product was created to introduce or reinforce understanding of equivalent fractions.
The students may work independently or with a partner.
The students make their own equivalent fractions by multiplying by forms of 1, e.g., 2/2. Then, the students cut the cards apart, mix them up, and "test" themselves to see if they can arrange the cards with their equivalent counterparts. Once this is done, they may paste their cards with their equivalent cards on construction paper for a finished product.
