Make a TRIPLE PLAY! with equivalent linear equations. Students are given the opportunity to write linear equations in slope-intercept form from graphs and from equations in standard form and point-slope form. Then, they make a TRIPLE PLAY! by matching the equivalent equations.
This activity is designed to get students practicing "solving for y" in a cooperative setting. It also gives the teacher the opportunity to reiterate that linear equations can be written in different forms, but they are all still equivalent! It's Math on the Spot!
